We have the honour to inform you that we have surveyed the Slate and Slate-pencils forwarded by the Crown Agent from Mr Thom of Dublin, and that we have formed the following opinion concerning them.

1: The Slates (without giving any opinion as to their quality or the price charged) are without frames, and not those ordered, which (as per Mr Thom's Catalogue herewith enclosed) should have been 1 Gross Slates framed, 12 inches by 8 inches, per Dozen 4/6.
